Wood Excavating started in 2003 with one used backhoe and a phonebook ad. Ray Wood took every call himself, showed up on time, and finished what he started. Twenty-two years later, the principle hasn't changed — the equipment just got bigger.
We've dug foundations for over 1,400 homes, cleared hundreds of acres, installed countless septics and saved more than a few basements from flooding. And we've done it without losing what made us worth hiring in the first place: answering the phone, showing up, and finishing strong.
Today we run a fleet of modern equipment, a tight crew of OSHA-trained operators, and a project management system that keeps every job on schedule. Same family. Same values. Bigger toolbox.
